Try These 7 Easy Tips, In The Swimming Pool

1. Check the water temp. in the swimming pool and verify it to be around 86°F. If your swimming pool temp. is cooler than this, trying using a baby wet suit which can add up to 3.6°F to the water temp. for your baby or toddler.

2. Try not to feed your child at least 30 min. to 1 hr. before entering the water.  The water movement and the new experience can sometimes cause babies to get over anxious and can cause minor vomiting.

3. We highly recommend using water disposable diapers - ex.: Huggies Little Swimmers  or reusable's  - ex: konfidence. This will make sure any accidents stay inside!

4. We recommended using a floating device for your baby, especially if it's their 1st time in the water.  You can also use these in public & private pools or even in the beach. There are other options for ex. UV (UPF50+) sun protection wet suit,  which protects their sensitive skin and also has keeps them floating in the water! Remember to use a good  baby sunscreen to protect your child from the hot sun and harmful UV rays.

5. It is not necessary for you to be a good swimmer in order to give your child baby swimming lessons, but you need to be comfortable in water.

6. Beware of the chlorine in the water which can make you and your baby's skin very dry. To prevent this, use a baby skin moisturizer, which will protect your babies skin from drying.

7. Babies get cold very quickly, so have extra towels handy as well as your changing mat,  or try Konfidence which sell a really handy roll up mat, non-slip, light & even machine washable.Give your baby plenty of breaks in between swimming lessons for feeding and resting.
